There are several buildings you need to check out if you’re interested in architecture. First, there’s Sou Fujimoto’s House NA. The concept of the house is living in a tree. This house is particularly designed for young couple in Tokyo. Mentioned as a unity of separation and coherence, this house is acting as both a collection of rooms and a single room at the same time. A bit bigger than Sou Fujimoto’s house, there’s a building by Vaillo & Irigaray and Galar CIB’s in Spain. Manifests by the “envelope” that is covering the building’s form, this building propose an image inbuilt in its intrinsic functionality. You can say that the internal structures are layered by the outer skin.
Another interesting building project in Spain is the Guallart Architects University Housing. This building is located in Gandia, a city of South Valencia. The main objective of this project was to create a hybrid project that function as student’s residential while fitting the needs of social housing. In Netherland, there’s a housing and office building project created by Dominique Perrault. The project located outside Gronigen, a location surrounded by a number of typical housing blocks made after war. The architect created volumes of “liberate”, which taking advantage of the urban context. Last but not least, there’s also a good looking house designed by Lussi and Halter in Switzerland. This new construction is located in a picturesque landscape, and taking only a small portion of the landscape’s existing terrain.
